This is a great viewer Laurent. Would it be possible to offer a flat-shading mode? I am not knowledgeable on 3-D modelling: Some of my objects (OBJs) are concave, and they appear smoothed, instead of showing the facets of the triangulation. Objects that are convex, e.g. cubes, are shaded as expected, with flat faces. I am not an expert, I think it is because the Phong shading is controlled by 'normal' angles, or something. My .OBJ files are simple lists of x/y/z vertices and face-links created by scripts, with no vertex-normal data. (A simple Ka & Kd RGB colour is applied from an .MTL file.)

Also, could GLC_player start up with Ambient lighting-level at some grey level?

What do you think?

Yes, the most difficult will be to create an icon. :)

I have tried to get a good default light levels but it's not a success ! If you have some ideas it will be nice.
